**Overview**
The Medical Laboratory Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by performing laboratory tests that assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of medical terminology and laboratory procedures. The technician will work closely with healthcare professionals in a hospital setting to ensure accurate and timely results.

**Duties**
- Conduct various laboratory tests on patient samples, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples from patients.
- Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Analyze data from tests and communicate results to physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment.
- Stay updated on advancements in laboratory technology and techniques.

**Skills**
- Proficient in laboratory techniques and procedures, with hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong phlebotomy skills for effective blood collection from patients.
- Excellent data analysis skills to interpret test results accurately.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to laboratory practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a hospital team while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in testing and reporting results.

This role is essential for providing quality patient care through accurate laboratory testing and analysis, making it an integral part of the healthcare team.

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week
