**Role and Responsibilities** **Role Summary** Directly reporting to the Program Leader, the Financial Analyst & Data Manager is responsible of guiding and informing the initial setup across the organization’s financials and PM systems, as well as setting data and configuration management platforms for the program, which is a large and complex 25 years defense contract. **Core Duties and Responsibilities** - Direct support to the Program Leader and Project Managers with the setup and subsequent maintenance of all financial artefacts, including (but not limited to) the Forecast file(s), Planisware project profiles, monthly Actuals analysis and PMR Financial summaries. - Updates to forecasts resulting from Finance-driven changes (e.g. burden rate changes) or those requested by RPAS Project Managers as part of forecast re-baselining. - Be the lead for the Program on engagement with CAE Financial Department staff and stakeholders to ensure that the Program remains compliant with CAE Financial processes and standards. - Support to Billing scheduling and Invoicing issues (as they arise). - Potentially support new processes/tools introduced on the program relating to EVMS, as well as potentially trialing new or novel approaches to improve cost performance analysis. - Design, setup and manage the program SharePoint site (Collaborative Environment) in such a way that maximizes the efficiency of Information/Data Management across the Program. - Working with the Program Leader to identify all appropriate documentation as ‘Configuration Managed Items/Artefacts’, and subsequently creating appropriate hosting arrangements and control processes such as Change Control Boards (CCB). - Becoming the RPAS Program champion for effective Information Management (IM) and explore potential best practices for efficient IM using the existing toolsets available within CAE. **Qualifications and Educational Requirements** - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent - Minimum of 5 years direct experience as Financial Analyst, preferably with at least 2 years within CAE in direct support of CAE Programs/Projects. - Eligible for Canadian Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance (as a minimum, preferable up to Secret) and Canadian Controlled Goods Clearance. **Preferred Skills and Competencies**: - Strong proficiency with MS Excel. - Proficiency with SharePoint, Planisware and Oracle. - High level of attention to detail - An aptitude for analytical thinking and problem solving (i.e. root cause analysis). - Self-motivated and driven by a desire to maximize the efficiency of processes/tools to reduce the management and administrative burden of routine functions.
