Peterbilt Manitoba Ltd. is looking for a self-motivated and knowledgeable Red Seal Journeyman _Heavy Duty Truck Technician_ to join the newly renovated and redesigned Winnipeg Service Department as part of our PacLease team. Reporting to the Service Manager, the _Heavy-Duty Truck Technician_will provide timely and quality repair, maintenance, and servicing of heavy-duty truck components.

**The Role**:

- Repair and maintain heavy duty truck components
- Operate various manufacturer computer programs to run diagnostic tests
- Diagnose trouble codes, disassemble engines and other truck components, and examine parts for defects and excessive wear
- Recondition and replace truck parts and components using hand tools, pneumatic tools and precision measuring instruments
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspection of truck-tractor components
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances

**Qualifications**:

- Red Seal Journeyman status in “Truck Transportation and Bus” is required
- Completion of a college/vocational or technical training in Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic is considered an asset
- Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrated knowledge and comprehensive understanding of technology and repair techniques
- Exemplary time management skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment and produce positive results with diligent respect for deadlines
- Tenacious problem solver with the ability to identify problems and implement solutions with keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to physically participate in job duties
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
