**JOB SUMMARY**

As the **Packer,** you will effectively and accurately collect, inspect, prepare, pack a variety of products into finalized shipments and safely distribute and transport them adopting the proper sorting system while following all applicable instructions, policies and procedures as provided by Ben-Mor Cables Inc.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Collect finalized products from various departments in an efficient manner and safely transport products to packing department;
- Prior to preparing and packing orders, inspect the finalized product to ensure accuracy and quality of every product to ensure compliance with customer requirements;
- Packs products into boxes in such a way to assure product integrity according to quality assurance requirements;
- Inspects orders and labels before properly sealing boxes and preparing for distribution and transport to shipping using adopted sorting system and method to ensure that the order has the correct and required products based on customer requirements;
- Monitor and report on products to detect problems, such as defective stitching, breaks in thread or wires, crushed webbing, etc.;
- Accurately record the number of items, the companies and the number of orders completed during each shift, with focus on maintaining these metrics within production targets;
- Maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors by complying with the Company’s safety standards, policies and procedures (i.e., report concerns/incidents, wearing personal protective equipment, good housekeeping of work area(s), etc.);
- Perform other related tasks and functions as required by the dictates of the business needs relative to the nature of the position.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum of two (2) years of production and/or manufacturing experience;
- Previous packaging quality inspection and control is considered a strong asset;
- Familiarity with measurements, measuring tools and interpreting orders and following instructions;
- Previous bander machine experience;
- Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills;
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail;
- Capability to work effectively and safely in a fast-paced and changing environment;
- Must be professional, punctual, reliable and demonstrate a willingness to learn;
- Must have ability to regularly lift, lower, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs with rotation;
- Must be physically capable of working in various positions for lengthy periods of time (sit, bend, squat, kneel, stand)

**POSITION CONDITIONS**
- **Shifts Available**:Day shift (8:00am-4:30pm)
- **Position Type**:Permanent, full-time position;
- Repetitive work requiring various position(s);
- Ability to lift, lower, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs with rotation is required.
