The Conference Services & Catering Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the planning of events and conferences and coordination of all events booked by the Conference Services & Catering Department. All events are to be handled in a professional, organized manner while ensuring 100% client satisfaction. The Conference Services & Catering Coordinator will liaise with all department Managers to ensure all events are handled as expected and that customers are satisfied.

Located on the York University campus, the Executive Learning Centre is a premier Conference Centre & Hotel managed by Aramark Conference Centres and owned by York University. The Centre is situated within the Schulich School of Business and provides an exceptional environment for learning, collaboration, and professional events.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and contracts for managers and the Conference Services & Catering Managers.
- Book and prepare BEOs for all student group events.
- Input events and guest room blocks when managers require assistance.
- Prepare off-site event orders.
- Update the Catering Banquet Event Order Book and make necessary changes.
- Prepare and distribute reports, including the Daily List of Events, AV Schedule, and BEOs due for copying.
- Copy and distribute BEOs every Friday.
- Maintain BEO records, ensuring updates to menu costs, menu items, and other details in Opera.
- Handle general office duties and responsibilities as needed.
- Participate in weekend coverage rotation.
- Support the Conference Services & Catering Managers with any additional tasks as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma OR 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in multi-site, unionized environments is an asset.
- Proficiency in OPERA Property Management System is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
