We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Lunch Supervisor to join our team. As a Lunch Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in our care. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with caregiving and early childhood education experience to make a positive impact on the lives of children.

The lunch period is from 12:00pm-1:00pm, Monday to Thursday only. Your shift will be 11:45am-1:15pm, giving you time to attend team meetings and complete documentation, if needed. You will be paid for the minimum 3 hours as required by the Government of Alberta.

Supervision will be required for eating time and outdoor play. Duties included but are not limited to:
Classroom Supervision (Eating)
- Greet the children and take attendance
- Promote mindful eating
- Monitor behavior and encourage positive interactions between students.
- Guide children though conflict resolution (minor issues)
- Share any concerns or issues with management and school staff

Outdoor Play (We must provide supervision on cold weather days.)
- Ensure school yard is secure
- Promote safe play in field and on equipment
- Provide minor first aid (scrapes, bumps, etc,)
- Monitor behavior and support children through minor conflicts
- Share any concerns or issues with management and school staff

Qulaifications:

- No experience necessary. Training will be provided
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a large group of children and resolve conflicts
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Clear Criminal Record Check including vulnerable sector search
- WHMIS Certificate
