**Valet Restorations, **A Successful West Kootenay's Family Oriented Emergency Response Company with 30 years in the industry, is rapidly growing and is now currently expanding in other areas of BC. When our clients experience a fire, flood, or other disasters, natural or man made, we respond 24/7/365 to help them recover and get things back to normal. We are a preferred vendor to many of Canada's largest insurance companies.

We currently have immediate openings for an **Experienced Asbestos & Lead Abatement Worker** with _**minimum 2 years experience**_ to join our family-oriented team at our **Port Alberni** branch. Disaster restoration and flood experience would be an asset.

**General Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Prep job site for the removal process (moderate, modified moderate, high risk)
- Setup decon chambers and clean areas
- Ensure all paperwork, pictures, and inventory is completed
- Comply with WorkSafeBC regulations & policies
- Travel when required for scheduled jobs and training
- Physical activity i.e.: lifting & loading, 30+ pounds
- Positive and professional attitude
- Self-started with the ability to work both independently and as a team player
- Have a meticulous attitude towards job completion
- Safety conscious and able to wear the provided safety equipment
- The ability to work unsupervised and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Versatile in knowing that you will be required, to assist in other areas of the restoration company such as demolition, construction, contents, and emergency remediation due to floor, fire etc.
- Be available for new floods/fires, after work hours, when On-Call. On-Call rotation averages 1 week in every 4 weeks.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid drivers license and a clear Drivers Abstract with a clean Criminal Record Check
- Superior customer service skills and professionalism with clients
- Able to work as a team
- Able to communicate effectively
- Able to work alone or with mínimal supervision
- References are required

Wages will be negotiable pending on experience.
