**POSITION OVERVIEW**

**POSITION & HOURS**:

- Full Time, Permanent
- Monday to Friday
- 37.5 - 40 Hours / Week with potential overtime during peak periods
- Newly renovated space

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY**:
Working with the finance team to map out efficient processes, perform month-end activities, review financial analysis and deep dive vender and customer issues.

**Key areas of responsibility**
- Examining accounting records and preparing financial statements and reports including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements
- Maintain and oversee internal control procedures related to payables, receivables, cash management and financial reporting
- Review and complete bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, sales summaries, aging AP/payment schedule, aging AR/collections, posting journal entries
- Inventory reconciliation/journal entries based on standard costing of crop costs and average costing related to packaging costs
- Review payment runs for accuracy, schedule and verify payments for accurate and up to date information
- Exploring areas for automation throughout P2P and O2C processes
- Assist with forecasting and budgeting as needed
- Prepare reports on rolling cashflow forecasting and KPI s as required
- Support Controller/VP Finance with other month-end activities as necessary
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all projects, property and intellectual property of the company.
- Compliance with all general job training instructions, safe work practices and procedures.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required**:

- 5+ years in accounting industry **or** 3+ years at a public accounting firm. Experience with small/medium enterprises an asset.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products, including Excel (Data tables, Pivot tables, and financial modeling)
- Experience using accounting/ERP systems required, with previous experience using JD Edwards, Famous Produce Software, and Hubble considered an asset
- College diploma in accounting from accredited college (required) **or** University degree in Business (Accounting) (preferred)
