IT Specialist

**Summary**

We are seeking an IT Specialist to join our team at Prime Electric Inc. In this role, you will provide technical support and assistance to our staff, ensuring that all IT systems run smoothly. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining our commitment to excellence in service.

**Responsibilities**
- Set up and configure computers and related hardware for new and existing employees
- Maintain updated knowledge and skills required to troubleshoot routine ERP issues
- Manage security access, including user accounts and permissions
- Plan, implement, and enforce network security policies to protect company data
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive backup strategy and ensure data integrity
- Write and maintain IT documentation and standard operating procedures
- Propose, plan, and execute IT projects to enhance the company's technology infrastructure
- Monitor IT services for downtime and proactively find solutions to minimize disruptions
- Write and deploy scripts, queries, and other small code solutions to facilitate problem-solving and automate tasks

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting
- Experience with help desk support and technical assistance
- Comprehensive knowledge of; Networking: routers, switches, firewalls, TCP/IP, VLANs; Operating systems: Microsoft; Hardware: PCs, servers, printers
- Excellent problem solver
- Strong communication skills
- Client-focused with a positive, service-oriented attitude
- Ability to work independently with direction or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills for effective user interaction

Pay: $22.04-$29.80 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
