**JOB SUMMARY**:
**Wage: 1st year - $56.94/hour**

**2nd year - $59.65/hour**

**After 2nd year - $62.63/hour**

The employee in this classification is responsible to provide coordination, administration and expertise in the areas of training, development, coordination and administration, including performance improvement initiatives. This position is also responsible to develop, deliver and maintain corporate learning, performance and training material for all areas of the corporation.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Coordinate the development, analysis and delivery of training
- Instruct employees using a systematic plan of lectures, demonstrations, discussion groups, laboratory work, shop sessions, seminars, case studies, field assignments and independent or group projects
- Conduct and/or facilitate task analysis, profiles and instructional material layout
- Develop curriculum and prepare teaching materials and outlines for courses
- Prepare, coordinate, administer and evaluate exams, metrics and reports to analyze and evaluate employee performance
- Analyze, design and develop efficient and effective learning and performance methods
- Assist with and/or participate in train-the-trainer instruction, analysis, design, development and delivery
- Advise students on program curriculum and training material
- Provide individual or group instruction on corporate training programs
- Research and identify ongoing improvements in learning and performance training standards
- Communicate performance levels and exam results to appropriate personnel, institutions and boards
- Provide administrative functions as required for the position
- Maintain files, records and databases associated with the department
- Supervise independent or group projects, field placements, laboratory work or hands-on training
- Other related duties, as assigned

**KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES**:

- Interprovincial Journeyperson Power Line Technician Certificate, or equivalent AND;
- Certificate in Adult Education, or equivalent, or the ability to attain such within 24 months of being appointed to the position AND;
- The following certification/verification requirements will be posted in one, or a combination of the following fields:
1.) Liveline Bare Hand Certificate or Verification
2.) 25 kV Rubber Glove Certificate or Verification
- Three (3) years of related Journeyperson Power Line Technician experience, or equivalent
- Excellent communication, coordination and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical, problem definition, problem solving and organizational skills
- Aptitude for accuracy and detail
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in the use of the corporations standard software
- Ability to deal effectively and cooperatively with others
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
