We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic fleet manager to join our growing team
The roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- oversee and supervise mechanic maintenance department
- assign and supervise maintenance and mechanic day to day activities
- assist with and carry out all planned mechanic maintenance work
- complete mechanic work themselves
- responsible for the mechanical repairs and maintenance of all equipment and vehicles including but not limited to installations, dismantling, reassembling, repairs, servicing and more
- complete repair, servicing and maintenance of heavy-equipment such as excavators, skid steers, loaders, drilling equipment
- complete repair, servicing and maintenance of diesel vehicles such as pick-up trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks
- respond to and troubleshoot any equipment and vehicle issues
- assist with the completion of preventative and predictive maintenance
- source any required parts for maintenance and repair
- manage and maintain the CVOR program following MTO regulations such as driver files, vehicle files, hours of service, DVIRs and more.
- assist with maintaining and updating record of tasks and inventory of parts
- provide daily reports of work completed by entire team and what is pending/completed/ongoing
- proactive in equipment and vehicle maintenance to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum
- complete inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard
- schedule maintenance priorities and repairs
- ensure all health and safety protocols are followed when completing assessments and repairs
- must have a working knowledge of mechanics for vehicles and heavy equipment
