**Role Summary**:
The Business Unit Analyst is a key member of the company’s finance team supporting the pricing, costing and operational analysis of our manufacturing facility. This is a new role for Marsan that will own the standard cost budgeting, forecasting, maintenance and analysis, providing actionable insights to support business decisions and optimize financial performance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Serves as the financial lead supporting the Plant management and the finance organization
- Business Unit P&L- Ownership in driving the results by monitoring the operational drivers, proactively communicating opportunities and risks, preparing analysis and presenting the results
- Analysis and explanation of cost drivers, which will include working closely with the operations team to review, identify and advise on opportunities for avoiding costs and/or adding value
- Cost Accounting - Ensure integrity of standard cost data and accurate accounting for Business Unit results
- Pricing - Maintain a deep understanding of customer contracts, monitoring for compliance with the contracts, preparing effective pricing analyses and presenting to executive management
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of effective Pricing Models
- Preparation of ROI and other financial analyses for capital investments and monitoring and communicating the actual ROI realized
- Continuous Improvement and Business Processes - Work with broader Marsan Foods team to identify opportunities for business process or data system improvements in a continuous effort to improve accuracy, efficiency, speed, and ease-of-use

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of cost accounting and/or financial analysis experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Advanced Excel and data modeling skills; knowledge of ERP/financial systems preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organization.
- Public accounting experience is a plus
