As we continue to grow, we are seeking dedicated individuals to strengthen our shop team—specifically in our Material Prep Department, where this role will focus heavily on sandblasting.

**Position Overview**

The General Labourer - Sandblasting plays a key role in preparing steel components for paint and assembly. Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, this position involves operating sandblasting equipment, preparing materials, and supporting finishing operations while upholding MC3’s values and safety standards.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Sandblasting steel parts to remove rust, scale, and contaminants to ensure proper surface preparation.
- Operate and maintain blasting equipment, hoses, and safety gear.
- Inspect parts to ensure blasting quality meets MC3 standards.
- Assist with loading/unloading parts into the blast booth using cranes and forklifts (training provided).
- Support the Material Prep Department with daily housekeeping and material prep.
- Perform other general labourer tasks as required to support shop operations.
- Follow all safety procedures and always use required PPE.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in sandblasting or industrial finishing is an asset (training available).
- Comfortable working in a dusty, noisy, and physically demanding environment.
- Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane (training provided).
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and eagerness to learn.
- Manufacturing or shop experience preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety protocols.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
