Wax Base Mounter

This position is primarily responsible for performing tasks involved with attaching runners to patterns with a proper seal. It also works from various specifications to ensure compliance with company procedures and specifications.
Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday 3:30pm to 2am (Afternoon shift premium applies)
(On the job training will be delivered on day shift for 30-90 days / Monday to Friday 6:30am - 3pm)
Starting Wage rate: $20.00 per hour
- Works from wax procedures, drawings and other specifications.
- Inspects clusters for air bubbles, improper seals, broken patterns and cracks
- Inspects assembled trees and gates for pinholes, undercuts and other defects
- Repairs and smoothes out runners and gates to ensure they meet specifications.
- Securely fastens screws in clusters and hang on the conveyor line with similar clusters
- Follows all work instructions
- Sets up and maintains small appliances as required to perform specific activities
- Maintains the necessary stock of materials for the area to maximize productivity
- Assists in housekeeping of department and cleanliness of immediate area.
- Maintains necessary documentation
- Willing to be cross trained in other roles/departments
- Other duties as assigned
**REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES**
- Product criteria
- Ability to understand activity instruction
- Ability to handle hoists
- Meticulous and detail oriented
- Able to follow direction and problem solve (continuous improvement)
- Priority and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and part of a team.
- Must read, write, and comprehend verbal and written activity instructions. Ability to learn to read and understand sketches, designs, and plans.
- Ability to use measuring instruments (metric and imperial).
**EDUCATION REQUIRED**
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 30-90 days on the job training
