We are currently seeking an experienced **Supervisor **to lead our Packaging Department.
- **This position is critical in nature to production and successful plant operations. Only qualified individuals with the required skills will be considered.**_

The packaging supervisor reports directly to the Plant Manager. He/she will be responsible for ensuring productivity in coordination with daily production schedules and ensure accountability on Quality Assurance, CFIA, and GMP related discrepancies. He/she will also assist in the training of new department personnel.

Experience in food manufacturing plant is considered an asset, but willing to train the right individual. Must be available to work Monday - Friday (40/hrs per week). Overtime may be required based on daily production schedules.

**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Supervise, lead, and coordinate department on daily production schedules for individual packing lines.
- Document and account for daily production records, review/audit Lead Hand paperwork before submission to QA.
- Enforce and maintain all Food Safety requirements, GMP, and Safe Work Practices.
- Lead, coach, and provide continuous training to current and new staff on company policies and procedures.
- Conduct morning toolbox talks.
- Assist in the onboarding of new personnel to the department.
- Complete morning set up and end of shift tear down of packing machines and equipment.
- Inspect packed product for deficiencies and inconsistencies before shipping.
- Ensure scales and product weights are calibrated and correct.
- Liaison with the maintenance department for equipment repair, troubleshooting, and machine changeovers or product adjustments.
- Liaison with Human Resources and Management team on department, product, and personnel issues.

**Skills/Qualifications**
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team successfully of 10+ successfully.
- Minimum of two (2) years in a Management or Supervisory role.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to read/write and control records with exceptional accuracy.
- Professional, punctual, and a personable team player, with a positive mindset and the ability to problem solve.
- Experience in conflict resolution and/or resolving employee related disputes.

**Other Information**:
This position requires you to be physically fit, with the ability to lift up to 50lb. Must be tolerant of cool temperatures (industrial meat plant) and able to speak/read/write English.

Shift: 5:30AM - 3:00PM (Monday to Friday) 9-hour shift

**Job Type**: Full Time Permanent
Probationary Period: 3 Months

**Salary**: From $46,096.47 per year
