Saweyihototan Custodian Worker

**The Position**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Sweep, vacuum and mop floors and stairways weekly;
- Clean and sanitize restrooms;
- Empty and dispose of trash and recycles;
- Clear snow and ice from sidewalks around building in winter;
- Tend to building exterior, grass and grounds as required;
- Replenish soap and cleaning supplies as required;
- Maintain inventory of cleaning and other supplies;
- Wash walls, ceilings and windows as required;
- Replace burned out light bulbs and florescent tubes as needed;
- Change all furnace filters every few months;
- Perform other related duties as defined and assigned by the reporting Director or designate on an as-required basis.

**Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities**:

- Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment;
- Ability to work independently;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times;
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations;
- Punctual and reliable;
- Knowledge of the political, social and economic objectives of the Saskatoon Tribal Council and of the Dakota, Cree, and Saulteaux cultures will be considered an asset.

**Other Conditions**:

- Must provide a current, original, Canadian Criminal Record Check (CPIC) as a condition of employment; and
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends, and to perform other related duties as required or assigned.
