**Key responsibilities**:

- Complete duties assigned by head mechanic including but not limited to fleet washes, interior detail, shop clean up, yard maintenance.
- Work professionally and collaboratively with all Scamp employees, contractors, customers, industry and government personnel.
- Ensure correct PPE and tools are used for all duties.
- Ensure that the shop is kept clean and tidy.
- Attend / participate in safety tail gate and maintenance safety meetings.
- Use MIR to track time and work completed.
- Comply with all environmental laws, manage all used oil, empty containers and filters.
- Keep walkways clear of snow and ice
- Help with daily janitorial needs
- Pre trips and checking tire treads
- Report defects to supervisor when doing equipment checks
- Help shuttle equipment and parts as needed
- Maintain driver supplies in driver room
- Maintain DEF cleanliness of DEF nozzles and DEF room
- Help repair chains, cam ears, hoses as needed, build buckets, etc.

**Personal skills**:

- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to take direction and willing to prioritize work based on current workload and customer requirements.
- Able to drive manual transmission or willing to learn.
- Work without supervision

**Education & work experience requirements**:

- Prior experience washing vehicles is an asset
- Class 1 license is an asset
- General interest in commercial vehicle transport and truck & trailer repair industry
- Class 5 license
- Must be able to lift or carry parts and tools up to 50lbs

**Safety Performance metrics**:

- Ensure that all work is completed in the shop in accordance to established procedures.
- Use all tools, chemicals, office equipment and PPE as directed and according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Complete all duties in such a way to avoid injuries, incidents and near misses.
- Report any incidents and near misses to HSS&E and HR
- Attend monthly team meetings which include at least one safety topic.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies/procedures/training required for role
