**Job Overview**

**Duties**

Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status.

Diagnose and treat various medical conditions and diseases in animals.

Take blood and urine samples, set up I.V. from feline and canine patients

Perform surgical procedures as needed, ensuring the highest standards of care.

Administer vaccinations and medications according to established protocols.

Collaborate with staff and head veterinarian to ensure optimal patient care.

Maintain accurate medical records for all patients

Oversee laboratory work, including diagnostic testing and analysis of samples.

**Requirements**:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree

Valid veterinary license to practice in Ontario.

Strong knowledge and skills in veterinary medicine, including phlebotomy.

Excellent English communication skills for effective interaction with clients in person and on the phone

Highly independent, resourceful, reliable, trustworthy and honest

Previous experience in a companion animal practice is essential.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $40.00-$65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Veterinary: 1 year (preferred)
