**Job Overview**: We are seeking a safety-conscious and reliable Roll-Off Truck Driver for our Hamilton location. The Roll-Off Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials by way of roll-off containers to and from job sites, customer locations, and disposal facilities. This position requires adherence to Ontario’s commercial driving regulations and strong customer service skills. You will play a vital role in ensuring that waste is managed and disposed of in compliance with **Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO)** regulations and environmental standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Pickup and Delivery**: Safely transport of materials by way of roll-off containers to and from customer sites, landfills, transfer stations, and recycling facilities within denoted working area.
- **Pre-Trip/Post-Trip Inspections**: Perform thorough inspections of the vehicle, equipment, and safety systems to ensure compliance with **Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation** safety standards.
- **Compliance with Regulations**: Adhere to all **Ontario Highway Traffic Act (HTA)** and **Transport Canada** regulations, including compliance with Hours of Service, load securement, and driving within permissible weight limits.
- **Documentation**: Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, such as route sheets, daily logs (E-logs), bills of lading, manifests, and equipment inspection reports.
- **Customer Service**: Provide excellent service to customers by addressing any concerns and ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
- **Waste Disposal**: Ensure that waste is disposed of in accordance with **Ontario environmental regulations** at licensed facilities. Handle waste responsibly to prevent spills and contamination.
- **Time Management**: Efficiently manage assigned routes, ensuring timely completion of tasks while prioritizing safety.
- **Equipment Maintenance**: Report any vehicle or equipment issues immediately to the maintenance team to ensure safe operation.
- **Workplace Health & Safety**: Use required **personal protective equipment (PPE)** and follow all workplace safety protocols, including compliance with the **Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)**.

**Qualifications**:

- **Ontario Commercial Driver’s License (Class AZ or DZ)**: Must hold a valid Ontario commercial driver’s license with air brake endorsement (Z) and a clean driver’s abstract.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years of roll-off truck driving experience.
- **Knowledge of Ontario Regulations**: Strong understanding of **Ontario Highway Traffic Act**, **Transport Canada regulations**, and safe driving practices within Ontario.
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to lift and operate equipment and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- **Customer Service Skills**: Professional and courteous interaction with customers and team members.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to troubleshoot issues and make on-the-spot decisions to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- **Flexibility**: Willingness to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed. Availability for overtime may be required.

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
