What You’ll Be Doing:
You will be a welcomed member of the Sienna team, reporting into the National Director of Wellness and Infection Control, providing wellness departmental support to our retirement residences across Ontario. As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will visit our residences to completing assessments and maintain the accuracy of related service plans, be present at a residence everyday to support with wellness RHRA post inspection as required, fill temporary or transitional vacancies of the Director of Wellness role across Ontario, and perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
- You have a desire to create a safe home and living experience through accurate and timely care planning for all our residents with great attention to detail
- You have a commitment to promote a positive, respectful and supportive environment for all our residents, families, visitors and team members
- You have a passion to provide the highest quality of support services that will promote, elevate and support the health and happiness of our seniors
- You currently are registered & in good standing with the College of Nurses in Ontario
- You are knowledgeable in applicable provincial regulations and standards inclusive of Memory Care requirements and have comprehensive technical knowledge on the aging process and gerontology
- You are currently first aid and CPR trained and willing to be trained in Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) and P.I.E.C.E.S
- You have 3 years of experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, memory care and/or retirement living and 2 years of leadership / management experience as a Director of Wellness
- You have a warm personality with demonstrated empathy and understanding of the needs of residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease
What You Need To Know:
- You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
- You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
