**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Carpenter Helper with artistic experience. As a Carpenter Helper, you will assist skilled carpenters in various tasks, contributing to the successful completion of projects while gaining valuable hands-on experience. This job oversees a wide variety of skills, therefore this position requires the individual to think creatively, be self directed and solutions oriented. An Ontario driver licence is required. Driving company truck and trailer may be required. Opportunity for Red Seal General Carpenter Apprenticeship is available.

**Duties**
- Prepare site for renovation, floor protection, plastic coverings and clean site daily.
- Operate power tools safely and effectively under the supervision of experienced carpenters.
- Maintain work trailer and tools.
- Pick up materials from construction suppliers
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements.
- Communicate with client, sub-contractors, delivery crews, and suppliers
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- This position requires heavy lifting from time to time. (100lbs+)

**Experience**
- Previous experience in construction or carpentry is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with power tools and basic construction techniques will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of forming, framing, drywall, trim, cabinetry are desirable
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Interest in art or experience making art/sculpture is favoured.

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

- Driving Licence (required)
