**Lead Service Technician / Trainer**

**HOURS**:
Monday to Friday Some Saturday's - Hours vary between 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- MUST be reliable, into work every day
- Follow installation and service schedule as determined by the Service Center.
- Install Invisible Fence System including laying wire, mounting equipment, flagging the property, reviewing the installation with the customer, and conducting training for the dog or cat.
- Work a shovel
- Services existing systems identifying problems and making the necessary repairs.
- Prepare customer invoice and collects payment at the time of service.
- Warranty processing
- Obtain inventory needed and load into the van.
- Conduct inventory of all supplies on van
- Keep company van clean and maintain equipment.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**:
High School Diploma or equivalency and one to two years _**manual**_ labour experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ REQUIRMENTS**:

- Ability to operate power tools (i.e. Stehl saw to cut concrete, electric drill and hand grinder)
- Ability to keep timely and accurate records
- Proven communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills required for servicing with the customers
- Breed knowledge and dog training skills is an asset
- Must have Technical aptitude, trouble shooting skills, and problem solving skills are required for servicing existing systems
- Ability to be flexible and to work as part of a team
- Valid Clean Driver's License
- Criminal record check
- Reliable
- Able to work some Saturdays
- Professional work habits and grooming/hygiene
- Experience working with customers
- Self-motivated and proactive

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:

- Physical work including climbing, walking, digging, lifting and loading and unloading the van
- Frequently requires lifting of up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Working outdoors and exposed to all types of weather conditions, bugs and plants, rain, snow.
- Frequently using power tools and exposed to noise and dirt
- Frequently working with customers' dogs or cats

**Job Types**: Full-time seasonal, Part-time seasonal, Long Term Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00 during training, $21.00 when in own van per hour around $35,000- $40,000 a year
