**You, as a Maintenance Technician, will**:

- Operate and maintain all courthouse equipment and tools.
- Respond to emergency, urgent, routine on-demand service requests and performs preventative and corrective action on facility mechanical and courthouse equipment and systems.
- Monitor assigned equipment and systems by conducting facility walkthroughs and Building Automation (BAS) monitoring.
- Lead tradesmen/ subcontractors (accompany) on equipment repair, preventative maintenance, and calibration. Issue permit-to-work and hot work permits. Report any noncompliance and safety-related matter.
- Ensure conformance to the Environmental Management System within key process areas.
- Attend and participate in training programs as required by EDFS and local city and provincial jurisdictions.
- Maintain records and information pertinent to work assignments.
- Close PM and routine work orders on the PDA after completing work assignments.
- Provide written estimates on work-related repairs and new construction projects as requested
- Strict adherence to safety guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Provide technical and functional guidance to other staff.
- Ensure and maintains compliance with assets under the management of FM.
- Inventory management.
- Assist with facility-related projects.

**Is this the right role for you?**
- Minimum 2-3 years’ relevant experience
- Building Environmental Services (BES) 1& 2 or Facility Maintenance Related Course is an asset.
- Knowledge of Building Automation System (BAS)
- Understanding of mechanical drawings and schematics
- You can gather information, accurately assess issues, seek support, and take direction as necessary.
- Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner to support the company's business needs.
- Experience in HVAC is an asset.
- Maintenance experience in a medical/hospital setting strongly preferred.
