Design Drafter

ATLAS Oil & Gas Process Systems Inc. designs and manufactures pressure vessels and process piping systems for the oil and gas industry.

We are currently recruiting an experienced **Design Drafter** for our manufacturing facility located in Nisku, Alberta. Working collaboratively with peers and clients in an environment that fosters ongoing learning and development, the Design Drafter joins our team of engineers and drafting designers.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Design and model Oil and Gas Process Equipment Packages including Skids, Vessels, Piping and Instrumentation.
- Generate detailed drawings; PFD’s, P&ID’s, 3D Models consisting of Pressure Vessels, Skid, Pressure Piping, Instrumentation, Structural Steel, Platforms, Ladders and Supports.
- Compile and generate BOM’s.
- Review and incorporate customer and vendor supplied design data.
- Liaise with Engineering, Production, Clients, and Vendors on new and existing projects.
- Produce drawing sets and issue as required
- Provide weekly progress and status reports to lead designer
- Active participation and assistance within the design team as required

Qualifications and Skills:

- Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent preferred
- Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, including 2D and 3D modeling functions; Plant 3D and Navisworks.
- Working knowledge of CAD support an asset
- Competence in MS Office Suite programs
- Minimum two years piping, vessel, and structural steel design experience in the oil & gas industry.
- Fabrication and/or field experience is an asset
- Ensure work is performed in a competent, diligent manner in accordance with the highest professional standards of the industry
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, adapt and maintain exemplary communication skills in a dynamic environment
