**Handyman/Caretaker Assistant Part-time - 3 days a week**

As Handyman/Caretaker Assistant you will report to the Building Manager of this residential strata property in downtown Vancouver (Close to public transit). You will help oversee building maintenance and daily operations of the building.
This position is three (3) days a week, and the position may lead to full-time work.

**Responsibilities**:
**This position calls for someone who can**:

- Respond to owners and tenant’s requests respectfully and calmly.
- Help manage the building’s security (fob access) and fire systems
- Identify maintenance issues as they arise, in both mechanical rooms and residential areas.
- Help provide general oversight of building maintenance providers: garbage, recycling, laundry, and landscaping services ensuring that all contractors/service providers complete their work properly and in a timely manner.
- Assist with interior building maintenance and perform minor repairs such as paint-touch-up, lock replacement, door closer repair, etc.
- Comfortable doing some cleaning, tidying a residential garbage room, patrolling for litter, sweeping stairwells, doing some pressure washing, etc.
- Possess a positive, friendly manner
- Communicate well (written, spoken and reading).
- Prepare reports for the owners
- Stay organized with attention to detail to detail.
- Check for leaks as reported
- Reports all incidents, accidents and emergencies to the Property Manager
- Ensure bylaws of the Strata Corporation are being observed and complied, violations are reported to the Property Manager
- Prepare elevators for move-ins/outs and deliver of large items to the building

**Experience**
- Experience as a Caretaker assistant or similar position
- Familiarity with MS-Office.
