We are a diverse group that encourages team members to bring their unique perspectives and expertise to work every day.**Your Responsibilities**:
The Technical Artist is a bridge between the artists and engineers. They are considered part of the art team and work closely with artists, project managers, SEs and the Technical Art team. They also act as a point of contact with the game team partners, liaising between the art team and the game team. The main areas of responsibilities include content pipeline automation, art production workflows, tools, asset optimization, content management/integration and game development. TAs are expected to assume ownership over any technical issues that arise on their project and bring them to resolution. You can be from an Art, Design, Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science background; however you must demonstrate a comfort level in working with both art and science. Technical Artists report to Technical Art Directors on the EA SPORTS FC team.The focus of this role is game features and Realtime feature implementation so requires someone with experience in the gaming industry or working extensively with game engines.**Your Qualifications**:
- Ideally at least 3 years of cinematic/games production experience.
- Experience working with game engines - Unreal Engine, Unity etc.
- A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related field is desired.
- Effective at communicating with different audiences: artists, engineers, managers.
- Experience scripting/programming in python and C#. (C++ is a bonus, but is not required).
- Knowledge of 3D art packages (Maya).
- Experience in revision control software.
- A solutions-provider, particularly as it pertains to testing and debugging technical issues.
- A willingness to jump into the unknown and solve new problems; the ability to think creatively to resolve technical challenges and limitations.

- $89,300 - $123,000 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
