**AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM LEADER POSITION**

We are looking for a Part-Time After-School Leader to support our Toddler, Preschool, Kindergarten and Grades 1-3 classes.
- Pay amount will be dependent on the applicant's years of experience._

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Certified in Standard First Aid & CPR/AED (Level C)
- Have a clear police reference check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- **Minimum 1 year experience working **within **a classroom (e.g. Toddler/Preschool and/or Kindergarten - Grade 3)**

**POSITION DETAILS**

**After-School Program Leader & Closing School Staff**
- Supporting any student when necessary (e.g. escorting children to the bathroom, diaper changing, supporting in changing their shoes etc.)
- In charge of after school program, supervising children in different classrooms and planning / participating in activities with the children
- Responsible for the safety and well being of each student
- Prepare afterschool activities for the next day
- Greeting families & supervising entrance and departure of authorized pick-ups/parents in the building & escorting children into and out of the school to and from their families (when required)
- Communicating daily updates with families of their child as needed
- Completing necessary record keeping
- Using walking talkies and communication software to stay connected with staff in the school
- Supporting with emergencies within the school
- Closing school duties including: all lights off, music off, chairs stacked, cubbies kept neat, doors closed, school locked and closed
- Perform other duties that may be assigned

**Kitchen / Other Support**
- Complete all kitchen cleaning duties and checklists
- Rinse kitchen dishes and place in dishwasher and unload dishwasher throughout the day
- Do laundry that pertains to kitchen items and leave laundry area in a clean and organized state when done
- Cleans and disinfects counters, stoves, microwaves, and appliances daily
- Be attentive to children's allergies and prep alternative food items
- Prepare morning snacks for each classroom for the next day

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
