We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Intern to join our team for a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or final-year student to gain hands-on experience in occupational health and safety within a dynamic [industry type, e.g., food manufacturing, logistics, etc.] environment. The intern will support the implementation of safety programs, assist with compliance initiatives, and contribute to fostering a safe and healthy workplace culture.

**Work Mode**: Hybrid (onsite 3-days a week)

**Pay**: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

**Shift/Time**: Mon-Fri, (9:00am-5:00pm)

**Term**:Temporary-Full Time, 12-months (Sept 2025 - Sept 2026)

**Education**: Recent graduate or final-year student in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

**JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Facilitate monthly Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings
- Ensure all KPI/Safety milestones are completed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety.
- Stay informed on relevant health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Assist in conducting workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Support the development and delivery of safety training and awareness programs.
- Help maintain and update safety documentation, including policies, procedures, and reports.
- Participate in incident investigations and assist in tracking corrective actions.
- Contributes to data collection and analysis for safety performance metrics.
- Assist in preparing materials for safety meetings and toolbox talks.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Recent graduate or final-year student in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in workplace health and safety and a desire to learn.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bilingual (French and English) is an asset, especially for roles in Quebec.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on site location.
