- Prepare and cut various types of meat according to customer specifications
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines while handling and storing meat products
- Package and label meat products for display and sale
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the meat department
**Skills**:
- Strong knowledge of kitchen and food preparation techniques
- Proficient in meat cutting and butchering skill
- Experience butchering beef, chicken, pork, lamb, or duck considered an asset
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Ability to handle and package meat products properly
- Excellent customer service skills to assist customers with their inquiries and requests
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate portioning and packaging of meat products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Experience in the food industry, particularly in a meat department, is preferred
