As part of a mission-centric, locally delivered, and nationally powered organization, the Fund Development Lead serves as a leader in advancing our mission, increasing volunteer engagement, and enhancing community outreach. The Fund Development Lead is responsible for driving market growth by identifying, recruiting, managing, and inspiring a team of senior business executive volunteers and top fundraising teams to strive for and achieve ambitious targets.

This role requires attending in-person meetings, with up to 30% of your time spent out of your office meeting with the community and our regional constituents. There is potential for up to 5 weeks of out-of-province travel per year to engage and connect with colleagues and national stakeholders.

**What We Will Do Together**
- Cultivate and develop engagement of emerging community markets
- Responsible for the recruitment and year-round management of a Volunteer Leadership Committee to achieve growth targets and execute engaging community events
- Responsible for the design and execution of revenue driving activities to build volunteer fundraising capacity and capabilities within the assigned region
- Responsible for planning, goal setting and coaching top individuals and teams to achieve ambitious targets
- Responsible for the acquisition of new sponsors for fundraising campaigns to increase base of corporate support
- Recruits, retains, manages and inspires top fundraisers and corporate partners
- Discusses and educates potential fundraising participants and volunteers about LLSC’s patient services programs and how they can help advance LLSC’s mission
- Discusses and educates potential corporate sponsors about LLSC’s patient services programs and how they can contribute
- Engages Honoured Heroes and discusses how their involvement can help in their blood cancer journey and to educate the public
- Educates community on LLSC programs and services and directs inquiries to appropriate internal resources
- Leads with mission offerings and connects constituents in need to internal resource specialists Demonstrates and develops presentations to illustrate how campaign participants can further support the blood cancer community

**What You Should Bring**
- An undergraduate degree or diploma in Commerce, Fund Development, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 4 years of sales or fundraising experience.
- Proven success in recruitment and management of business leaders/executive volunteer leadership committees in achieving ambitious goals.
- Proven track record of success and expertise in peer-to-peer fundraising and fundraising event management.
- Superior interpersonal skills to engage, motivate, and leverage stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal skills, ease with public presentations, and proven ability to relate to diverse groups of people at all levels. Bilingual in French and English is an asset
