**Job Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver certified security guard training programs as per ministry or regulatory requirements (e.g., Ontario’s Ministry of the Solicitor General).
- Instruct students on key topics including the Private Security and Investigative Services Act (PSISA), use of force, emergency response, report writing, public relations, and workplace safety.
- Administer, grade, and evaluate written and practical exams.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and certifications.
- Ensure training content is current, compliant, and delivered professionally.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to trainees as they prepare for licensing exams and field roles.
- Report to Training Manager or Director on trainee progress and any issues.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid certification as a Security Guard Trainer from the relevant provincial or regulatory body.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or related field.
- Strong understanding of provincial security legislation, industry best practices, and adult education techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- CPR/First Aid Instructor certification (an asset).
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics and maintain professional conduct at all times.

**Working Conditions**:

- In-classroom and/or virtual instruction settings.
- May require travel to training sites or client locations.
- Flexible scheduling including evenings or weekends may be required.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

**Experience**:

- Security Guard Trainer: 2 years (required)
