**JOB SUMMARY**
The Operations Manager will ensure that all support functions of Company Transportation are properly managed at the Terminal Level. This position will work collaboratively with the other terminals to meet all delivery and customer commitments and fleet productivity targets, as well as responsible for the day-to-day activities of the team, handling all Tractor Delivery Operations and the management of terminal personnel.

**WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE**:
- Manages / Oversee dispatch operations.
- Ensures compliance with all MTO / DOT / CTPAT regulations.
- Creates and manages reports, track metrics and targets.
- Works closely with terminal dispatchers to maximize driver and asset utilization, using efficient routing and planning processes.
- Manages the driver recruiting and hiring processes.
- Manages the dispersion of work to the dispatch team and office administration.
- Assisting dispatchers or front-line supervisors in troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day issues and activities.
- Ensuring dispatchers and drivers have the necessary tools to perform their job functions.
- Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review and assessment of work and work techniques.

- Strong team building skills.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Must demonstrate the ability to manage priorities and workloads.
- Excellent writing skills, with experience drafting procedures, creating reports and business process management.
- Comfortable in engaging directly with the driver fleet to address problems and driver concerns.
- Must be skilled in the evaluation of personnel and in the accomplishment of goals and objectives.
- Required to have prompt, regular attendance in-person.
- Owner of customer relationships. Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, show flexibility, possess analytical skills be attentive to details, listen, support teamwork, possess organizational and leadership skills, excellent math aptitude.
- Work collaboratively with the Fleet and Maintenance Team to optimize asset usage and address repair priorities.
- Work closely with the Safety and Compliance Team to ensure the fleet employees are supported and comply with the high safety standards set.
- Performs other duties as assigned by their manager / supervisor.
**OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE**:
- Experience with routing and optimization
- Bilingual English and French both oral and written.
- MS Office proficiency necessary
- 5+ years of relevant logistics experience
- Diploma/Degree/Certificate in Business or related field.
