As a Driver for Upper Canada Forest Products, you will have the opportunity to expand your skillset and enhance our customer experience.
If you are passionate about making a difference, impacting driver operations efficiencies, partnering with our warehouse teams, and ensuring products are distributed safely - this opportunity may be the right fit for you.
**Role & Responsibilities**
- Operate a tractor trailer; potentially straight truck as needed.
- Ongoing and continuous learning and development; including forklift certification.
- Comply with applicable legislation including safety operation, carriage of goods, driver’s hours, occupational health and safety, and applicable traffic laws.
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspection to ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment meets our rigorous safety standards.
- Maintain daily logs, inspection logs and other necessary driver compliance documentation.
- Fill reports such as Driver logs, inspection reports (pre-trip, enroute, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, and incident reports.
- Perform all aspects of truck and trailer load securement.
- Physically capable of opening and closing curtains on the trailer.
- Safely load and unload premium quality wood products for our customers.
- May be required to operate a forklift and/or Moffett.
- Safely lift material up to 75 pounds.
- Provide excellent customer experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Your Unique Skills**
- A valid Commercial Driver’s license.
- Minimum 3 years licensed and on the road.
- Clear Abstract/MVR report.
- Flexibility to start between the hours of 4:00 am and 7:00 am.
