**Job Overview**
We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to work as a **Sign Installer and Construction Laborer**. This position combines sign installation expertise with general construction labor tasks to support the production and installation of high-quality signage. You will work collaboratively with site managers, installation crews, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Sign Installation**: Install all types of signage, including illuminated letters, 3D letters, sign boxes, lobby signs, wayfinding signs, ground and pylon signs, awnings, canopies, and reception signage.
- **Sign Maintenance**: Service, repair, and rewire electrical illuminated signage, and refurbish old signs with new LEDs and transformers.
- **Site Preparation**: Measure sign areas accurately, remove old signage, prepare surfaces, and secure electrical connections.
- **Tool Operation**: Operate and maintain hand and power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- **Debris Management**: Clear debris and materials from installation sites after completing tasks.
- **Construction Support**: Perform general construction labor tasks such as demolition, loading/unloading materials, site cleanup, and assisting with framing, drywall, or other construction-related duties as needed.
- **Safety Compliance**: Follow all safety protocols during installations and construction work, including working at heights with ladders and bucket/crane trucks.

**Skills and Experience Required**
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience in sign installation, construction, or related fields.
- Familiarity with applicable installation methods, materials, and safety measures.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools effectively.
- Capacity to read blueprints, technical drawings, and measurements accurately.
- Basic math skills, particularly for scale and measurements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to varying schedules.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (required for off-site installations).
- Ability to work at heights and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Journeyman electrician license (an asset but not required).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

**Experience**:

- Construction Laborer: 2 years (required)
- Blueprint reading: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (required)
- Working at Heights Certificate (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (preferred)
