The Maintenance position is responsible for ensuring the optimal condition of several assigned properties and building systems to ensure tenants satisfaction and building efficiency. Travel between our rental properties is required and are in the Lower Mainland.

**Building Maintenance**
- Performing maintenance repairs in tenant’s suites and common areas including minor plumbing, replacing toilets, HVAC, locks, electrical, small appliance repairs, moving large appliances (i.e. fridges & stoves), painting, and other duties as required;
- Using power tools, hand tools and various auxiliary instruments for small projects such as building cabinets, installing countertops, doors, dry wall, minor roof repairs and other related work as required;
- Performing regular building inspections, checking standard operating procedures to log inspections in boiler rooms and other mechanical rooms of the properties;
- Organizing and maintaining all shops inventory not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and maintenance;
- Maintaining all interior and exterior lighting systems including replacing lights, repairs, and management of lighting supplies.
- Maintaining common areas, which includes picking up litter, watering plants, pressure washing, exterior painting and performing snow removal.
- Assisting in the overall Preventative Maintenance Program for the properties;
- Completing work orders for deficiencies or repairs sighted throughout the properties on time and effectively;
- Complying with the Workers Compensation Act, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, and all applicable laws & regulations in accordance with the Residential Tenancy Act.

**Work Experience and Job Skills**
- A demonstrated track record with 3-4 years' experience
- General proficiency in the use of applicable materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with tenants, contractors, and co-workers.
- Knowledge of changing small pumps and motors
- Positive and proactive attitude with a desire to learn.
- Ability to work independently and take on new challenges as well as learn from others.
