Trot in Time Carriage Tours in the historic town of Lunenburg, NS, is seeking a friendly and dedicated **Horse and Carriage Tour Driver** to join our team for the upcoming season. This is a unique opportunity to work outdoors, partner with majestic horses, and share the charm of Lunenburg with guests from around the world.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Drive horse-drawn carriages through scenic routes in Lunenburg while providing engaging and informative tours about the town's history and landmarks.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers and horses at all times.
- Groom, feed, and care for horses before, during, and after shifts.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of carriages and equipment.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally and ensure a positive guest experience.
- Adhere to local laws governing horse-drawn carriage operations.
**Qualifications**
- Experience working with horses (carriage driving experience preferred but not required; training will be provided).
- Strong customer service skills with an outgoing and friendly personality.
- Physically fit to handle the demands of working with horses and carriages outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license (required) and First Aid certification (preferred, but not required).
- Knowledge of Lunenburg’s history or a willingness to learn.
