Carleton Place, Canada Lanark County Support Services Full time

This position is for 27 hours in the Carleton Place Day Services and every 2nd Saturday 5 hours providing Supported Independent Living supports.

Must have knowledge and demonstrate proficiency in the Developmental Services Sector Core Competencies as they relate to the role of Direct Support Professionals.

Must have or be willing to train in First Aid, CPR, NCI, Pharmacology and WHMIS.

Must have a Valid G Driver's license, access to a vehicle, ability to work throughout Lanark County and a criminal reference check for the vulnerable sector.

Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, managing behavioural challenges and complex health plans, administering and managing medication and provide personal care. Experience in developing and facilitating holistic Individual Support Plans in collaboration with support networks. Substantial experience working with families in the planning and delivery of supports.

Salary ranges from $24.59-$27.35 per hour plus 6% in lieu of benefits and opportunities to join the HOOPP pension plan. All employees also have access to a confidential Employee Assistance Program. LCSS staff are provided with ongoing training including: First Aid, CPR, Non
- Violence Crisis Intervention along with additional mandatory training. **Responsibilities**
- Provide individualized support to clients in developing life skills, including communication and organizational abilities.
- Assist clients in daily activities and promote independence through tailored instruction.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate effectively with families and team members.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to Policy and Procedures.
- Drive to various locations as needed to deliver services.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $24.59-$27.35 per hour
