**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The VP Medical will join the leadership team and report to the CEO. You will work closely with key members across the organization, and lead a team of physicians, physician/clinical assistants and medical operation members while liaising with leadership across the company to help operate, optimize and develop new medical offerings and uphold the higher standard of medical care at Rocket Doctor.

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**
- A dynamic medical leader with a history of clinical excellence and business / strategic acumen
- Work with the CEO to build and implement a vision for how technology can revolutionize healthcare delivery while providing the highest quality of care
- Be the advocate of the Medical Department on the Leadership Team, providing insight, feedback and objectivity on all processes, workflows and new business developments across the organization
- Create a vision for scaling and growing our services, technology and medical device systems used across Rocket Doctor by our patients, providers, and care coordinators
- Continue to grow and mentor a team of physician advisors, physician/clinical assistants and medical operations team members to keep up with the growing patient volumes, geographic areas operated in and medical complexity in our expanding virtual care landscape
- Be excited to work with Rocket Doctor’s team on a day-to-day basis, solving problems and building solutions with the highest quality of patient care and MD satisfaction in mind

**REQUIREMENTS**
- This job requires access to excellent internet, a computer with built in camera functionality, and access to a smart phone with Canada-wide calling.
- You will be required to maintain standards of professionalism including but not limited to confidentiality, documentation, product development, and organization.
- Some intermittent travel may be required for this position (ie. MD events, corporate retreats - 3-4x / year)

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Previous experience in medical leadership positions (minimum 5 years)
- Master in Public Health, Hospital Administration and/or Business Administration or similar is preferred
- Excellent knowledge of the Canadian and US Healthcare systems
- Ability to lead, manage and develop teams.
- Track-record of change management in disruptive environment
- Ability to translate strategy into operational excellence.
- Ability to work across diverse functional teams and in collaboration with them
- Experience of setting, balancing, and managing a budget to target
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- French is an asset but not a requirement
- Clinical experience and licensing in the healthcare field is preferred though not mandatory (ie. Physician, NP, RN, RPN, and PA), especially within digital health
