General Labourer

**Job Summary**
Absolute Landscapes LTD is growing, we are looking for a few dedicated, enthusiastic people to join our landscape construction team.

We specialize in commercial, industrial and residential maintenance and construction.

**Qualifications & Responsibilities**
- Minimum 2 years experience in hardscape/softscape construction
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Professional, courteous presentation
- Ability to work hard outside in all weather conditions
- Must be a reliable team player, able to work with and without direct supervision
- Willingness to learn and advance in company
- We are looking for landscape labourers who are physically fit and able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly
- Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation to/from shop essential
- Equipment experience considered an asset
- Truck/ trailer experience an asset
- Airbrake endorsement an asset

**Working Conditions**:

- Year round work - general labour in the summer months, snow removal in the winter months and clean ups during fall and spring
- summer hours are typically Monday-Friday, some Saturday work may be required
- winter hours are weather dependant with the snowfall
- Work starts early and in the peak season days can exceed 10 hours per day
- Salary starts at $18.00 per hour with a banked overtime system to cover days unable to work due to weather.

**Licence/Certification**:

- Class 5 Licence (required)
- 5 year commercial drivers abstract upon hire

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
