What You’ll Be Doing: Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will have a broad range of responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
Financial & Business Analysis
- Preparation and enhancement of KPI reporting for senior management. These key indicators will ensure operational and financial improvements are targeted across the board
- Assist senior management in preparation of presentations for operational reviews, board meetings and meetings with investors, analysts and rating agencies

Financial Planning
- Maintain and update integrated operational reports and analysis
- Prepare financial projections for equity investors or lenders as required
- Finance lead and key contact with Operational business units and management on annual budgeting process. The budget process includes the preparation of operating statements for approximately 50 business units and a consolidated balance sheet and cash flow analysis

Business Improvement
- Provide proactive analysis and support for key business improvement initiatives such as the new Human Resources Information System and Supply Chain and Back Office automation project
- Respond to business needs for additional analysis and reporting to aid strategic decision

Corporate Development
- Assist in due diligence work on acquisition opportunities as required
- Project management and assistance for various corporate and home level initiatives
- Assist in Investor Relations preparation as required

What you need to know:

- In addition to a University Degree, minimum of three to five (3 to 5) years of accounting, financial analysis and reporting
- Advanced Excel Skills (V-LookUp, Pivot Tables, Graphs and Charts, Syntax, Logical Formulas - IF Statements)
- Ideally has been involved in using analysis to drive improvements in business performance
- Strong analytical skills and accounting knowledge
- Self-starter, ability to learn quickly, ability to adapt to change with the confidence to communicate with senior leadership
- A sense of urgency and is results oriented
- You must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- You must successfully pass a Criminal Check
