**About the job**:
We are seeking an Intermediate Document Controller to become a key asset to the Kent team. Supporting document control activities out of our Sarnia office, the successful individual will bring enthusiasm, energy, and keen eye for detail to deliver exceptional results in a fluid, and engaging work environment.
This position will be responsible for day-to-day document control activities and will ensure general project documentation requirements are followed. A base knowledge of document control processes, records management and turnover practices is required

**Your responsibilities**:

- Record and track for the internal and external distribution of project documentation,
- Document handling and Transmittal management (team quality/accuracy checking),
- Assist in development/update of document control reports per project requirements (i.e. weekly/monthly progress reports, key performance indicators, etc),
- Maintain/Manage project EDMS (Electronic Document Management Systems) and project SharePoint sites,
- Ensure accurate data entry in all required field(s) for the applicable project EDMS,
- Communicate effectively with internal and external staff on items related to Document Control,
- Ensures timely transfer of electronic files / hard copy documentation (as required) to/from clients and 3rd parties,
- Maintaining document control files (hard copy/soft files),
- Complete Project turnover & close-out activities as assigned by the Lead Document Controller and/or Supervisor of document systems,
- Understand and adhere to Company and project document control procedures and quality assurance standards,
- Identify/Provide input regarding improvements to the document control processes and practices,
- Make routine decisions and recommendations within authorized limits. Exercise initiative in completing recurring assignments independently.

**Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience**:
**Qualification/ Skills Requirement**:

- Post Secondary Education
- 3-5 years’ experience in related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience,
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written,
- Strong organizational and time management skills,
- Experience and ability to work both as part of a team or independently,
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365 Applications (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook),
- Experience with Aconex is an asset.

**Communication**:

- Excellent oral and written communication and skills.
