**What will I be doing?**
We are currently looking for a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor who is committed to working the entire season, with the potential for a permanent year-round position in the company. The Grounds Maintenance Supervisor will lead a crew of 3-4 people on a daily basis, providing spring and fall clean-ups, grass cutting and litter control services for a wide range of properties.
**What will my duties include?**
- Supervise and direct a crew of 3-4 including transportation, training and oversight of employees in completion of a wide variety of landscape maintenance tasks including lawn cutting and trimming, litter control, spring and fall clean-ups, weeding, hedge & tree trimming/pruning.
- Interact with professionalism with all clients and crew members.
- Effectively manage the tasks, time and the team.
- Ensure all the activities are being completed on time, and problem-solve as and when needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety requirements and company policies.
- Communicate openly and clearly with the Operational Manager and all team members.
- Properly care for and respect all equipment, including company cell phone and vehicle.
- Working with employees who may face barriers to employment, including mental health issues.
- Other duties, as needed.
**What will I bring to the organization?**
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of landscaping and/or horticulture
- Valid full G driver’s license and good driving record
- Management or supervisory experience is an asset but not required
- Effective time management, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to work outside for long periods, perform physical labor and lift heavy objects.
