**Position Overview**:
The Foreman, reporting directly to the Project Manager, is responsible for overseeing and managing daily construction site operations. This role focuses on coordinating site activities, supervising crews, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
**Responsibilities**
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Foreman is responsible for overseeing and managing construction site activities, including:
- Collaborating with the Project Manager to assess material and supply needs and issuing orders through the procurement and logistics department.
- Coordinating the work of subcontractors, specialists, and other trades based on the Project Manager's instructions.
- Supervising, organizing, and coordinating the efforts of construction site employees.
- Training workers on site procedures, safety protocols, and emergency measures.
- Completing and submitting time sheets and item lists to the Project Manager.
- Determining manpower requirements in consultation with the Project Manager.
- Developing work methods with the Project Manager to meet delivery schedules and ensure alignment with other departments.
- Addressing work-related issues and implementing measures to enhance productivity.
- Ensuring compliance with labor safety standards and monitoring adherence.
- Verifying and maintaining accurate records of site inventory, including equipment, tools, and materials.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- **Experience**: 5 to 10 years in Heavy Civil Construction, including roadwork, water/sewer systems, and site grading.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong ability to resolve issues and provide clear direction to workers.
- **Leadership**: Capable of physically demonstrating tasks and leading by example.
- **Licensing**: Valid G Driver's License.
- **Communication**: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- **Growth Mindset**: Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
