Kiln Operator

**Summary**

We are seeking a Kiln Operator to join our team at Scottywood Corporation. In this role, you will be integral to our production process, utilizing advanced machinery and techniques to create high-quality Thermowood products. This position is vital for maintaining our standards of excellence and efficiency.

We are willing to train the applicant if they show a strong mechanical aptitude but have no prior experience. Strong work ethic required.

**Responsibilities**
- Operate and monitor kiln equipment to produce Thermowood products.
- Program machinery as needed to ensure proper treatment according to specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process to maintain product standards.
- Package finished products for shipment, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- General maintenance of the kiln (plumbing, low-voltage electrical, mechanical)
- Operation of low-power boiler
- Loading and unloading of the kiln

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience operating complex machinery or boiler systems.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Previous mechanical experience.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.
- Basic plumbing, electrical, and/or mechanical is highly preferred.
- Experience with quality control is a plus.
- Previous forklift experience is a plus.
- Previous woodworking experience is a **significant** plus.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.75-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Additional pay:
