As a Building Environmental Specialist based in Edmonton, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the building’s heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (HVAC), and developing positive client relationships.

**Major Responsibilities**
- Proactively monitor the overall performance of the building’s HVAC system and ensure the system is operating per the scheduled requirements
- Diagnose operational issues associated with comfort and safety
- Communicate urgent repair requirements with management and client coordinators to ensure appropriate approval is obtained prior to major repairs
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating of general maintenance tasks
- Assist with completing preventative maintenance, in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Program
- Portray a favourable image of the organization while liaising with and addressing client issues and concerns

**Experience & Qualifications**
- Knowledge of HVAC system design and operation
- Holds a diploma or journeyman certificate in the area of HVAC (e.g. HVAC, Sheet Metal or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning)
- Holds an ABSA 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate
- Minimum of four (4) years operational experience in facility operations
- Familiar with Building Management Control Systems (BACnet environment, multi-vendor)
- Ability to review BMCS program logic as it relates to desired operating sequences
- Strong knowledge of comfort requirements in relation to temperature, air flows, humidity, etc.
- Ability to read and understand building and control system drawings
