**Summary**
Skilled Laborer's work closely with the Foreperson to successfully complete residential and commercial landscape projects with an emphasis on safety, timelines, and quality.
**Qualifications**
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
G class license and clean driving abstract considered an asset
**Experience**
In installing landscape projects in residential and commercial properties
In communicating with customers, staff, suppliers, and other individuals as required
In safe construction practices
In operating machinery including skid steers and excavators
**Responsibilities**
Assist in the installation of landscape projects at residential and commercial including the installation of interlock walkways, retaining walls, steps and softscapes
Assist in the completion of daily paperwork including equipment and vehicle checklists, work orders, and other required paperwork and documents
Work cooperatively in a team environment
With assistance from the landscape foreperson, operate various tools and equipment in a safe manner including stone saws, plate tampers and other small hand tools and heavy equipment such as skid steers and mini excavator
Arrive to working with a positive attitude and willing to learn
All other reasonable tasks as assigned by the foreperson or general manager
**Efforts / Working Conditions**
This position requires you to work outside in varying weather conditions including rain and hot and cold temperatures.
Employees must wear CSA approved steel toed boots
Length of employment is from April to December annually. During the landscape season, the landscape labourer is expected to work 10-hour shifts Monday to Friday.
