**Fixed Asset Maintenance Superintendent
**Position Description**:
Accountable for the management of all aspects of fixed asset maintenance and services in a safe, productive, and cost-effective manner.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all fixed asset maintenance employees are working in compliance with all of Health and Safety policies and the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act in the commission of the job duties.
- Ensure all health and safety policy and procedures are in place and updated as required.
- Enforce compliance to all applicable environmental, health and safety Acts, policies, and procedures and that all workers work in the manner and with the protective devices, measures and procedures required.
- Follow up with all safety and environmental concerns, make all corrections or deviations and provide the necessary feedback.
- Responsible for managing yearly budget and headcount within team.
- Identify and organize the resources required for these plans, equipment, personnel, and services to achieve the established production targets. Organize these schedules to maximize the utilization rate for each personnel and equipment.
- Set KPI’s within team for schedule creation and completion.
- With planning team manage backlog including statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with the Supervisors all maintenance plans in order to obtain and sustain desired operating performance and compliance to PM system.
- Perform physical inspections to determine if work meets company standards in regard to quality, production and safety.
- Enforce compliance consistently and fairly all applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure that all employees have the competencies and qualifications required to work safely and productively within the areas of responsibility, and that they understand and comply with the requirements of their position description.
- Ensure that each direct report understands and complies with the requirements of their position description. Coach direct reports into a functioning unit.
- Complete annual performance appraisals for immediate subordinates in order to provide formal feedback on performance.
- Communicate with Manager, Superintendents, Supervisors, Departments, and other employees to review direction, resolve problems, recommend priorities and corrective measures to improve operations and conditions of entire mine. Attend regular department head meetings where operating results, plans and projects for the property are reviewed.

**Qualifications**:

- Sound understanding of both the principals of Preventative maintenance and Maintenance planning.
- Clear understanding of the maintenance standards and procedures within a process plant and including underground crushers and conveyance.
- Experience in Maintaining a Production and Service Hoist and well as Shaft and Infastucture.
- Knowledgeable in computer skills
- Communication, leadership, and team building skills.
- Strong prioritization, organization, and reasoning skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop individuals to achieve better results.
- Proficient in follow-up and feedback Engineering designation or a Trade qualification with applicable experience is required.
