Small, progressive, well established Geomatics/Civil Engineering Services Firm located in Lethbridge, Alberta looking for Construction Survey Chief

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Taking direction from Survey Crew Manager & receiving training from existing Survey Crew Chiefs
- Responsible for care and maintenance of truck and equipment
- Uploading data files; meeting with clients at construction sites; keeping clear, complete and accurate field notes;
- Working as a one person survey crew or being in charge of 1 or 2 survey assistants
- Strong working knowledge of: GPS Receivers; Robotic Total Stations; Laser Scanners and conventional levelling gear
- Performing topographic surveys, building stakeouts, road layout, underground pipeline and site grading surveys

Job Skill Requirements:

- Diploma in Geomatics Engineering, Civil Engineering or Engineering Design and Drafting preferred
- Minimum 2 years relevant work in the construction industry
- Proficiency with Autodesk products, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Map and AutoCAD an asset
- Valid Class 5 drivers license (Drivers abstract may be required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail, team player, with enthusiastic attitude
- Be physically fit
