**Flexible Schedule | Day Shift: 8:45am - 16:45pm | **Hourly Rate: $20.91**

PARC Retirement Living is an award-winning developer and operator of independent senior-living communities.

We are looking for a motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic **Housekeeper **for our award winning **Oceana PARC** in **White Rock**. In this position you will work alongside the maintenance team to ensure a clean and safe environment for our residents. Not only do you provide a better experience for our residents but also for the other employees working in the building.

**Housekeeping Responsibilities**:

- Clean resident apartments: Vacuuming, mopping and dusting and bath room cleaning, as directed;
- Sanitize high tough points, empty garbage and recycling;
- Wash residence linens, clean common areas and identify and log potential maintenance issues;
- At night, respond to emergency calls, greet/screen visitors to ensure that our residents are safe.

**Day Housekeeper & Night Housekeeper Skills and Experience**:

- Housekeeping experience a strong asset;
- Health Care Aide, or relevant experience and training in a similar environment a strong asset;
- Current first aid and CPR certification in combination with WHMIS is required;
- Ability to respond to emergency situations in a calm and professional manner;
- Understanding of infection control practices;
- Good knowledge of security procedures;
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with others;
- Self-directed with the ability to solve problems effectively and make decisions using sound judgment;
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Empathy for seniors, their families and their professional service providers.
