**JOB SUMMARY**: The main function of the Cashier F&B is to ensure the highest customer service, being on the pass of food and drinks handed properly and efficiently to customers. Guaranteeing that customers are happy with their order. This position requires customer service experience and basic food & beverage knoweledge.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**: Manage customer transactions in a efficient and friendly manner. Support staff members by plating or any other tasks required. Ensure all orders are made and prepared promptly, accurately and to order.

**QUALIFICATION STANDARDS**

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**:

- High School diploma.
- Customer service experience is required. Basic kitchen experience is a plus.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Works well under pressure.
- Well organized, shows sense of urgency: able to track multiple orders and multi-task.
- Be able to work at the serving counter dealing with customers directly.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Aside from day shifts, must be available to work evenings and weekends if necessary.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Flexible hours are always required.
- Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Able to lift trays of meals and dishes.
- Able to remove garbage and recycling from main kitchen to waste disposable area

**OTHER ABILITIES, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE**:

- Knowledge of WHIMIS
- Food handling certificate is a plus
- SmartServe or similar certificate is a plus

**DUTIES & FUNCTIONS**

**KEY RESPONSABILITIES**:

- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner in accordance with Bells Lane Kitchen standards.
- Provide the best customer service experience and helps customers as needed.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform when working.
- Manage transactions with customers using cash registers. Collect payments whether in cash or credit
- Ensure pricing is accurate
- Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets. Redeem stamps and coupons
- Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
- Greet customers when entering or leaving the restaurant
- Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
- Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
- Bag, box or gift-wrap packages
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with BLK standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs.
- Always comply with BLK standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient restaurant operations.
- Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs, temperature logs, waste reports as needed in accordance with BLK standards.
- Keep and clean and tidy work area as needed. Works clean and efficiently.
- Sweep & mop station daily
- Remove all garbage and recycling to proper waste disposable area as needed.
- Assist teammates when needed.
- To attend all training sessions and meetings.
- Understanding of food safe practices.
- Be a TEAM PLAYER.
- Maintain work ethics and be accountable.
- Other duties as required.

**SKILLS**:

- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
- Ability to handle cash transactions and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for calculating bills, making change, and managing inventory
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure and multitask effectively
